Rectory Lane Linear Park
The Rectory Lane Linear Park provides a key element of green space within the scheme.
The space will be multi-functional and will provide an additional buffer with Rectory Lane.
The space will include outgrown tree-rich hedgerow to reinforce the character of the protected lane and the rural nature of the area.
The space will include:
-
Provision of semi-formal footpath to provide route for users, integrating the John Ray Walk (PRoW).
-
Integration of thicket planting to separate and enclose the park, providing a physical buffer and screen to the built edge of the development.
-
Supplementary planting to bolster the site’s boundaries.
-
Creation of grassland to provide informal recreation opportunities that connect the NEAP and earlier phases to the Sports Park.

-
Connections into the 2.7km route and wider area.
